Indian Child Welfare Specialist - #2011-34 (Indian Child Welfare) The Indian Child Welfare Specialist position is the basic level where employees are assigned responsibilities involving beginning level casework activities to build their skills in providing social services to individuals. Assists in providing professional, educational and family services to the members of the Sac and Fox Nation relative to the protection, health and welfare of the Indian children and their families. Must have knowledge of casework principles and methods. Experience in working within the tribal governments structures and of the tribal customs and the structure of the Indian families is preferred. Social Worker #2012-30 (BHHC/Stroud) Provides clinical direction to other Behavioral Health staff regarding clients. As a member of a multi-disciplinary patient care team, provides diagnostic and treatment services (preventative, curative, and rehabilitative) to individuals, families or group. Director of Public Safety #2012-26 (Stroud) Responsible for the direction, operation, and administration of the Juvenile Department and Police Department; and is responsible for the protection of life and property through the enforcement of federal and tribal statutes and ordinances; and performs related work as required. Manages through subordinate personnel the acquisition and maintenance of records, directs and coordinates the booking activities of persons into the jail system. Manages through subordinate personnel effective traffic enforcement and patrol activities. Directs and controls special tactical operations and investigations. Supervises the general criminal investigation functions. Plans, organizes and manages the entry-level and in-service training activities. Manages the proper utilization of all departmental equipment to ensure the safety of departmental personnel and the public. Enforces federal and tribal statutes and ordinances. Develops and administers the department’s budget within the established budgetary guidelines. Maintains an effective working relationship with the other tribal departments and governmental agencies. Fosters and promotes a proactive relationship with the persons in the tribal territorial jurisdiction. Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in criminal justice, law enforcement administration, public administration, behavioral science or a related field of study and five years of progressively responsible work including two years of supervisory experience with at least one year at command and administrative level; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
